BALLOONS DAY

18 out of our group of 28 Chan Brothers and Sisters climed into the basket on a cold morning for our first hotair balloon ride in Cappadocia. It turned out to be the most memorable 1 hour ride for me (in the sky that is) in Turkey. It is was just magical !!

Our Royal balloon was one of 60 over balloons that took flight in the early morning skies on 14 October 2011. We rose from Ground Zero and climbed, slowly but steadily, to a height of 440 feet or so at its highest. I was worried for Darby (and secretly for myself) before the day. All fears however were brushed aside when I saw the colourful balloons in the sky. Darby too conquered his weak knees and whipped out his camera and soon, we were elbowing each other inside the cramped basket to find space to take the best shots our cameras can possibly capture.

After we landed, we ran over the balloon like kids and drank champagne popped by our female pilot. Each of us also got a medal to celebrate our courage and the flight.

We were all smiling radiantly on our way back to the hotel. What a brilliant morning it was!

CLOUDS AND BLUE SKY

The skies opened and poured rain on us on the first two days of our arrival in Turkiye - what a dampener.

Our prayers were answered when we arrived in Cappadocia or Kapadokya. We were rewarded with perfect weather, fluffy cotton like looking clouds and blue skies!

Turkey , here comes the non-halal Porky

Finally we have decided and booked the trip for our year end trip, Turkey.
Porky and i are happy with the choice, we have been to many Asian countries and it is time for some exotic experience. The journey is 10 days, including 2 days on flight, so it is not a very long trip either, for a country with such a long history dated back to BC when it was ruled by the Greeks.

We will be away from 8 Oct till 17 Oct, hope to come back with great pictures.

Tired

My health has not been good since i returned from China, nostril infection, backache, eczema, shoulder ache, they come and go at their own will.

I wanted a trip but i dun want to end up more tired than before.I guess the best rest i can have is resting at home, hibernating.

I must admit i am older, indeed. I just do not have the same excitement that i had when i was younger for many things in life anymore. Eg a trip to oversea now will make me feel awful just thinking about the planning part itself. i will feel excited when i was in my 20s, thinking and planning about my next trip, even if it was just Bangkok. Now i do not.

I do not know what is gonna happen, there are 30 years ahead if i am lucky. May be i should just spend as much as i can so that i can go happily one day back to heaven ( if they allow me. ). Tired.

Where to go for our year end vacation?

Yesterday noon, we have been cracking our heads where to go for our year end vacation, we felt that we really need a good break by the end of the year.

End of last year we had a short but relaxing trip at Penang, after moving in to our new home. Heavy work load and bigger responsiblity in work place this year, we both have been postponed our trips. Ocassionally we would go JB for a movie, eating and shopping, but it is just a single day trip.

Finally we have decided, this year we will go Australia, as New Zealand is not really safe due to natural disasters. We want to go somewhere farther and non Asian country. My preference will be Europe or New York, but the weather is not going to be pleasant for a trip.

I should have planned for Europe or US when i was younger, now even a day trip in Batam island last week left me with back ache. I am getting old for sure.

After the decision was made, Porky and i munching on the meal i cooked, Bak Ku Teh , Fried Kailan, Steamed Tofu. Thats the pig s life.

Fired the bitch

Last month in my department, we had a new comer from a local polytechnic female fresh grad, she is only 21 yrs old, who i am really uncomfortable with her attitude at work and scheming personality, not mentioning being fat and her idiotic look.

The bitch was demanding me as her boss, to address her name when assigning tasks, say thank you and please to her, seek her agreement on the assignment dateline, which i of course fuck care. Me no Mr Nice Guy. So last week I had a session with her with HR tried to be the mediator , she pretended to succumb to my supervision initially.

When she was sent for pre arranged training by the end of last week, i called to check on her decision to stay or leave the company as she promised to inform but did not, she complained to HR said that i harassed her every day. She even had the conversation recorded, but sadly to her, nothing is against me.

Yesterday she did not turn up at work and but called me to shout at me over the phone. I have made up my mind to get rid the bitch by today.

Today by 8 am, i sent her to a meeting room when she reached office, so as not to affect my staffs. Again the same strategy is used by her in front of HR today , making lots of false accusations, tried to make me looked evil. Luckily for me, HR is on my side, although the bitch played the mp3 of our teleconversation, there is nothing against me. I asked HR to put a stop to this whole clown show staged by the bitch, just get rid of her. I do not want to waste our time.

I felt ashamed for her parents, at 21 y/o , she is rotten to the core. Disrespectful to superior, scheming, evil tongue, shameless, lack of proper upbringing. I know we adults not anyway better, but at 21 y/o, she is a devil already, much much evil than most of the ppl i know.

I am not hiding, when i shut the office door after her, i shouted out in front of my subordinates "Thank God", loud enough for her to hear purposely. If i can afford, I want to put up a fire cracker show at Marina Bay, to celebrate her leaving.

It is like getting rid of a cancerous lump. I feel much better and relieved.

Bitch, you are just the right citizen for hell.
